Real estate and the state of things
Well interest seems to be picking up on the house. We've shown it several times and the fliers are really going, but so far no serious offers. You can see for yourself that this property has quite a lot going for it, and it's not a bad place to be "stuck" if it doesn't sell quickly. Oregon property has dropped a little in price but we're still holding up better than many other states. This is one of the most desirable parts of the country to live in, so it's not surprising, but it is harder to find buyers when they can't sell their existing homes for enough to cover property prices here.

I find the ordeal of selling a home interesting but it is like everything else....there are many different opinions on pricing, how to list and negotiation.
Pricing is very tough in this market and we felt we discounted the value based pon the market when we priced the property. Of course the realtor disagrees and our offers have come in lower than anticipated. So have we priced it to high.
Dunno.
I was encourage to find Real Estate.com where they valued the house at an average price of $352,722 based upon a pretty good set of comparables.
This blows the offers of $320 and $327 out the window IMHO.
We have a great advantage. Even though we would like to move to the next stage we don't have to sell.
